The Haunted and upcoming shows 08-06-2010
Last Saturday we've had the privilege to support for The Haunted at The Rock Temple, Kerkrade. The show went pretty smooth and we even got our hands on some very cool pictures. We've gained some new fans there and even managed to impress The Haunted, a job well done!!
However.... (all stories have a downside) Remco's voice still isn't healed well and the straining of last Saturday forced us to cancel our upcoming gig at B52, Eernegem. Together (and with some help of therapists and surgeons) we've made this decision and received full understanding from club B52. They proposed to make it up later this year.
Gig at Perron55 postponed 16-05-2010
Sadly enough we have to postpone our gig this coming friday at Perron55, Venlo. Remco's voice still isn't recovered enough to be able to give a full show. The advice of his speech therapist was not to do show, because he would be straining his vocal cords too much too soon.
Together with our booking agency and Perron55 we've decided it's best to postpone our gig this coming friday to a later date when Remco is fully recovered. We feel sad about this and apologize for the inconvenience this causes for Perron55, but mostly to you, everyone who planned to come to the show.
But... bare in mind that this is a postponement not a cancellation. We will make up for this big time at Perron55, so stay tuned!!
Gig at Kaktus cancelled 09-05-2010
Our upcoming gig at Kaktus Rockbar in Mönchengladbach (DE) has been cancelled. Unfortunately the bar went bankrupt a couple of weeks ago. We've received this news yesterday from our friends of Seven Ends who received the news from someone working at the bar. Not directly from the booker, but then again he wasn't reachable for months.

With the help of Seven Ends we are looking for a gig somewhere else in Germany. However, this will not be done overnight, so make sure to tune in every once in a while.
Remco recovering at home 22-04-2010
So, last Monday (a bit later than intended) Remco had surgery on his vocal cords.
Initially the surgery was planned for April 14th, but at the last minute it got cancelled and postponed until last Monday. Since he was not allowed to speak at all for a couple of days we couldn't give you an update sooner than today (oh, it's so quite ;).
Anyway, the surgery went okay and Remco is now recovering as quite as possible. Next week he will start with practices and some visits to a speech therapist.
As far as we can predict none of our scheduled gigs will be cancelled.
Surgery for Remco tomorrow 13-04-2010
Tomorrow Remco is scheduled for surgery on his vocal cords.

A couple of months ago he suffered from severe pains in his back and legs which caused him to throw up intensively. Combined with smoking and a large number of gigs he strained his voice which caused blisters on his vocal cords. Luckily he didn't suffer from any pain because of this, but his vocal abilities reduced slowly and eventually lead him to visit numerous doctors and specialists.

After a period of rest and no more smoking (right on!) his complaints stayed however, which resulted in specialists saying that only surgery will fully heal his vocal cords. Initially surgery was scheduled for June 10th, but luckily things speed up for him to have the surgery tomorrow!

After the surgery Remco will not be allowed to speak at all for two days (which is a huge deal for him :), followed with recovery practices and the help of a speech therapist. Of course we wish him all the best tomorrow and hope he will recover good and quickly!!
