Ashes Of Misery

Metal Revolution

28-05-2007

75/100

State:Chaos is a young quintet from The Netherlands releasing their first promo disc containing four tracks. CD is entitled Ashes of Misery and it can serve as a pure example of aggression, brutality and musical skills these guys posses. Having in mind this is their first release should not confuse you, we still deal here with five very skilled and experienced guys as they have almost all performed in other bands prior to State:Chaos. There are many harmonic notes, great tempo changes while building fantastic atmosphere throughout the whole experience. It is obvious that the band droves its influences from mainly Scandinavian acts esp. Swedish melo-death bands. To times their music reminds me of an old Metallica and Iced Earth, nice instrumental leads and fast played melodic and catchy riffs. It is actually done in very professional manner and having in mind this is only a promo copy I think that production, structure-wise and artwork is very catchy and differs from the rest. Title track is also the best one in my opinion, being technical and fast.
